Just Droppin' In Zippo trick:
Hold the lighter in your hand with the hinge facing away from you and the 
lid facing away from your thumb. 

Toss it and catch it on top of your hand. 

Now make sure it lands facing the same way. 

Grab it so that the lid is in-between your index and middle finger, 
pop it open and ignite with your ring finger and then close however you feel.
