Loop Zippo trick:
Hold the cap between your thumb and index finger, with the hinge towards your palm. 

Flick downwards to open, then spin it upwards (vertical spin) in the opposite direction (towards your palm). 

Now when it is coming down let your ring finger strike the flint, then have the base of the lighter rest on your palm. 

Flick upwards to close.
